Eastern Borderlands, 1919. The Bolsheviks, taking part in the Polish-Russian war, appear at the Granowski manor house. It's a story based on the war of 1920, which ended with the Battle of Warsaw going down in history as the "Miracle on the Vistula". The film was commissioned by the Propaganda Department of the Ministry of Military Affairs and has survived only in fragments (just 53 minutes out of the 2-hour-long film).

The story takes place in 1905 and shows us a glimpse of an earlier Russian occupied Poland. After the assignation of the Governor-General, the Russian authorities in Warsaw are bent on finding the conspirators. It is 1809, and the Austro-Polish War is raging. Returning from a reconnaissance mission, Lieutenant Andrzej Zadora and his squad of lancers stop for a rest in Serock, a small Galician town. They spend the night at the "Pod Gwiazdą" inn, where the innkeeper is the young and beautiful Kasia. A passionate feeling develops between the young people. Both have the name Jadzia, besides the name they are also connected by a tennis racket. Jędruszewska is a champion of tennis courts, Maliczówna is an extremely charismatic owner of a sports store. Meanwhile, there is a fierce battle between two competing Warsaw companies selling sports equipment. The convergence of names and misunderstandings cause that the representative of the rival sports shop Jan Oksza confuses Jada. He tries to get the tennis champion to play their company's racket, but Jan takes Maliczówna for the champion. In the meantime, he acts as a sculptor, his friend. Among the gags and numerous misunderstandings between Jadzia Maliczówna and Jan Oksza germinate the feeling that eventually connects the two feuding companies.
