Told as a film within the film, the story concerns an aging actress. Ewa is a flamboyant, pushy actress whose career and love life have come to a dead end. She lives in a faceless housing development. She is totally engrossed in herself and dreams of making a comeback as a singer. But her overbearing personality time after time sets her into conflict with those she tries to work with in the theater and her bedroom.

Jurek Kiler has become a VIP - sponsoring the Polish government, playing tennis with the President, meeting world leaders. He must oversee a transfer of a substantial amount of gold. However, in his past activities, he has made enemies. Mighty ones. And thus Jurek Kiler's next adventure begins as he has to face attempts at kidnapping, assassinations and problems in his love life...

A ring of retired provincial PRL dignitaries plots to steal their party’s banner from the Museum of Communism as an ideological relic, only to have their scheme complicated when one conspirator’s son enlists an Italian collector in a profit-seeking joint venture. 2. Set in 1952, film tells the story of young musicians playing - then forbidden - jazz music in basements and attics around Poland.
