Each segment poignantly probes longing— for what was, what is, and what might yet come.

Hasan, an engineer who returned to the village from America after years with his child, young and beautiful wife, wants to establish a dairy factory to save the peasant who exploited Salih Aga from poverty. The villagers get money for this job.

Years later, he is released from prison, where he had been serving time for a murder he committed in the name of honor. By chance, he meets Perihan, who works at a nightclub, and falls in love with her. The reason he becomes so attached to her is that she closely resembles Aysel, his former lover who left him years ago to marry someone else.

The police question Cemile, a young girl who was taken to the hospital with injuries and found to have alcohol and drugs in her blood, as well as evidence of rape, but they do not believe her. There is insufficient evidence and no witnesses. The person who reported the incident is nowhere to be found, and Cemile is accused of prostitution. The film tells the story of two fugitives and the retired police commissioner who pursues them. A vehicle used to transport a group of prisoners is involved in a traffic accident. Two of the prisoners, Blind Mustafa and Condemned Hasan, manage to escape. Bad weather conditions and the wooded terrain make it impossible to find the prisoners. However, retired police commissioner Hüseyin, who has not found what he expected from life, sets out in pursuit of the prisoners. His goal is to prove himself to his son by bringing the prisoners to justice. Hüseyin catches up with the prisoners deep in the forest. However, the roads are closed due to heavy snow, which turns the situation in the prisoners' favor.
