Lena returns to her home in a remote, war-ravaged Armenian village to try and persuade her grandparents to leave with her for safety in Moscow.

In the Russian provinces life seems to have frozen since the 1990s. Here you can hide from the worries of the big world, and heal the wounds of the soul. Thus argues Mila, having decided to return home to the mother’s house after an unsuccessful attempt “to conquer Moscow”. Mila’s sister Galya also wants happiness without thinking about the price. The passion that is aroused in the women by Rustam, a young handsome man from Central Asia, disrupts the family peace. A terrible enlightenment awaits the participants of this family drama.

Vera lives solely on the problems of her family: her eternally ill husband Kostya and her fifteen-year-old son Romka. In fact, Vera is happy with everything, until her husband's first love suddenly appears on the horizon - the beautiful Lyudmila and her daughter Yulya. There is nothing special about the latter, but, as luck would have it, it is this girl that Romka is interested in. Now she is seriously thinking about divorce and exchanging an apartment, trying to force her son to move away from Yulka.

Having lost his wife in a plane crash, a man tries to find out the real reason for the disaster. Forced to sift through all the lies amassing around him, he temporarily foggets about his grief. He finds a flight crew who survived a crash and celebrates his rebirth with them. Suddenly moments of grief turn into a never-before-experienced flash of freedom for him. This illusion becomes a lulling trap in which he can relive the happiest moments of his life. What we can see on the screen is an ordinary life where simple things become rare and unusual, and where grief turns to joy. Daily routine to which he finally comes back after all shade in a contrast way the brightness of the recent events.
