A life journey of 60 years with images and memories from the magical world of Greek Television and Cinema. A journey with beloved people, actors, directors, technicians and other artists. A creative journey full of joy, sadness, anguish and love. He begins his career as an intern at Finos Film Studios at the age of 15. His father was Yorgos Kavoukidis, one of the pioneers of Greek cinema, along with his close friend Filopimin Finos. Following the vision of his spiritual father, Finos, and his teacher in cinematography and editing, Dinos Katsouridis, he became at the age of 20 a well-known director of photography and editor of dozens of films of Greek cinema. During those 60 years, cinema and television became his home. He became a producer and a director. He designed the lighting for dozens of stage performances. His co-workers are his family.

An island in the libyan Sea. Land’s end; a place of exile; a refuge. For some, it is Homer’s legendary Ogygia, where Odysseus spent seven years. There, at Europe’s southern-most point, people from different countries and different backgrounds coexist. Locals, who have spent their “hidden” life there, away from the outside world and are now trying to juggle the benefits of progress and their old morals. And “self-exiled” romantics, who have found their Ithaca, a lost paradise. Two worlds that coexist, despite their differences, sharing the same concerns for the future of the island, facing the same problems of everyday life and setting the example of living together in solidarity over economic competition.

Dimitris Pistiolas, a retired employee for the Greek Post Office, is the owner of the largest cinema museum in the world. In two tiny venues in Athens lies his renowned by the Guinness World Records collection. Now, 90 years old, Dimitris recounts his past, hidden in his machines, hoping that his memories are not going to be lost forever.
