Based on the novel by Mikhail Stelmakh “A Big Family”. The second film of the trilogy (“Human Blood is Not a Water”, “Dmitro Goritsvit”, “People Don’t Know Everything”) tells about one of the first collective farms of Ukraine, the fight against the kulaks and the love of the communist Dmitro Goritsvit for Marta, the Petliurist's daughter, who guilty of the death of Dmitro's father.

In one of the Kuban collective farms, a new beauty-cook has appeared. Many began to look after her, but the girl was not a timid dozen and quickly gave a turn to the unlucky boyfriends from the gate. However, true love found a way to her heart, and although human envy and stupidity have done many troubles, the lovers still managed to unravel this complex tangle of misunderstandings.

Having pity on the child, she takes him home and raises him as her own son. 17 years pass. Once in the village appears a lonely gypsy Budulai, who has experienced a lot. He very quickly gained the sympathy of Pukhlyakova's adoptive son. Suspecting that Budulai is the father of her gypsy boy, Klavdiya fears that the peace of the family will be disturbed...

The film is about an oilman who took a lost worker's place and won the respect of other oilmen, was also based on this same ideology, depicting the heroism of oil workers, who never became exhausted and continued working in oil, generation after generation.

Based on the fantastic story by Kir Bulychyov "Can You Ask for Nina?". Guests gathered in Vadim Nikolayevich’s apartment to celebrate the 1979's New Year with a cheerful company. The landlord unsuccessfully tries to reach his friend Nina. He, dialing a number, gets to a girl who is also called Nina. Her answers seem strange to Vadim Nikolayevich until he realizes that he is in some unusual way talking with a child from Moscow in 1942.
