The investigations and adventures of the Forestry Corps of San Candido.

Leonardo Cagliostro, a policeman, dies and decides to stay on Earth in order to find out more about the circumstances of his death and to save his wife, Anna, who's in danger.

In late 1940s Italy, a mother makes the difficult decision to send her son to the north, where he catches glimpses of a new life away from poverty.

Alessandro and Anna, just over the age of 18, meet by chance during an Interrail trip to Spain. It is a hot summer in the late 1990s, and the two immediately fall in love. Their lives, however, are much more complicated than the fate that brought them together, and soon the two are forced to separate. Over the years they remain linked by an intense correspondence, never able to muster the courage to see each other. However, 20 years after their first meeting and now adults, they meet again in Bologna. Their feeling, which has never faded over time, will have to clash with the interferences of a reality more complex than the one they had created only through words.

Deputy commissioner Giovanni Buonvino is transferred to command the Villa Borghese police station. While the assignment initially seems like a joke, he soon discovers that the park is a microcosm rich in secrets, crimes, and mysteries.

Police officer Elena deals with cyber crimes and violence against children. The discovery of a young boy's body in the Venetian Lagoon brings her back to the city she left twenty years earlier.

Inspector Vasco Benassi is known in Bologna as the “best cop,” but after making a mistake, he is sent to the Apennines, to the small village of Muntagò, the hometown he had left years earlier following a traumatic loss. Investigating various cases will help him reconnect with his roots, in a process of “reopening his heart” that will lead him to become less solitary, to form new relationships, and to deepen others from the past.
