The apartment house superintendent, Clint Clobber, a turkey if there ever was one, is constantly pestered by an old retired Army general, who keeps the tenants in a dither and uproar with his hard-nosed and disciplined military habits. Clint finally finds a way to rid the house of the undesirable tenant.

Herman battles Katnip in a costume epic satirizing the Robin Hood story. Katnip is the offical tax collector. Taxes have gone up 100%. The first place that Katnip hits is Povertyville. No money there... only Robin Hood Herman. Herman follows Katnip back to the castle and recovers the money for the mice after a battle. Katnip gets sliced clean down the middle with a fancy medieval executioner's axe!

The war is over, and a lot of land is up for settlers to grab. Hector Heathcote and his talking dog Winston have just been kicked out of the boarding house, and they have to join the land rush, too, in order to find a place to stay. Homesteaders Hector and Winston try to prevent their greedy, land-grabbing neighbor Benedict from taking over their property.

Two of Popeye's nephews get caught playing with fireworks on the Fourth of July. Popeye takes them away, and they spend the rest of the picture trying to get them back (mostly by getting Popeye away from them).

Snardley, a crooked butler, learns that the only thing between him and a fortune is a little cat, Kitty Kuddles, to whom a wealthy spinster has willed her estate. The butler tries to kill the wealthy cat.

A virtual remake of Customers Wanted, with Popeye and Bluto running competing penny arcades showing customer Wimpy clips from past shorts, though in this case, rather than each arcade owner showing clips from the same story, they show different stories.

While Gaston LeCrayon is setting up his painting area on the sidewalk, a limousine zooms by and splashes mud all over the canvas. The wealthy woman, who was a passenger in that limousine, mistakes the mud-splashed canvas for "art" and invites Gaston to her mansion, wanting him to create a masterpiece with her expensive art supplies. Her husband, however, has different ideas.

When Foofle accidentally peels his own hat instead of an apple, he goes down to the store to buy a new hat. Unfortunately for him, his new hat blows away and now has to go to great lengths to get it back.

Hashimoto, a Japanes mouse, explains the customs of the east to some visiting mice. A cat makes off with one of the visitors, Hashimoto goes to the rescue, bests the cat with judo, and then teaches it to his western visitors.

Private Eye Popeye gets a call from Olive Oyl to guard a precious gem. But no sooner does he get the gem than the butler takes it.

Struggling blacksmith Hector Heathcote tries to get Paul Revere's horse ready for his midnight ride.

The Chief sends James Hound to investigate the apartment complex the villain Professor Mad has open to the public for free. James gets a room and finds nothing suspicious until he discovers that the apartment was really a rocket in disguise, intending to kidnap everyone in the building and enslave them for an outer space amusement park. James eventually defeats the villain and safely lands the apartment in a middle of an airport runway. The Chief congratulates Agent Hound for a successful mission and gives him the apartment as a reward. Unfortunately, James has trouble sleeping due to the noisy airplanes taking off by his window.

A geologist attempts to dig under Possum's house in search of a rare stone. The rock collector manages to wreck everything in sight.

Unable to run his general store successfully, Hector tries to join Daniel Boone's party to search for new territories in the American West. Boone refuses to take on the little man as a part of his expedition. But when the group is trapped in an Indian ambush, Hector saves the day by inadvertently lighting a barrel of gunpowder and sending the Native Americans back to their reservations.

Astronut is changed into a dog... and can't change back.

Popeye is being honored for his 20 years of films, in a dinner hosted by 'Bob Hope' (several other celebrities are present, like Jimmy Durante, Bing Crosby, 'Jerry Lewis' and 'Dean Martin').

A wealthy eccentric owns a talking mongrel dog, and the dog, deciding to upgrade his pedigree, decides he is a born watch-dog. The owner puts on a mask with the intention of breaking into his own house and testing the dog's abilities. But, before he breaks in, a real burglar does so, and has taken over the house and the self-proclaimed self-made protector.

Undercover treasury agents Heckle and Jeckle are assigned to test a new security system at the United States Mint.

Popeye's training for his boxing match with Bluto by jumping rope with a massive chain. Bluto, who's lazy about everything except sabotage, decides he needs to stop Popeye.

James is a secret agent who is incredibly clumsy. Yet, no matter how many mistakes he makes in his efforts to capture the bad guy, he winds up bagging the criminal.

Deputy Dawg is a dim witted Southern lawman, who, despite his own ineptitude, always manages to catch the bad guy.

"Hoiman" and his ratty mice cousins, to escape the winter cold in Brooklyn, hop a streamliner going to Florida. Katnip is also on board and chases the mice from the baggage compartment to the mail car. Herman utilizes very mechanical device available to derail Katnip, and finally uses some war-surplus equipment to shoot Katnip out in space. He lands at the North Pole and is freezing while the mice are living it up on a Miami beach.

Baby Huey sees some little ducks playing pirate and wants to join in, but when he jumps on their raft, he sends them flying into the hungry fox's frying pan. Huey accidentally frees them when he jumps onto the fox in his enthusiasm to join them. The fox decides he'd rather pursue the gigantic Huey than the tiny ducklings, and when he overhears Huey wishing he could play pirate, the fox dresses as a pirate aboard a convenient nearby replica pirate ship.

The boys wake Deputy Dawg up: the tool shed's on fire. It burns before they can put it out. Then the city hall burns, too. The Sheriff warns Deputy: Form a new fire department made up of volunteers, or you will be out of a job.

Olive is so captived by "The International", a radio personality with a French accent, that she'd rather stay home than go out on a date with Popeye. Bluto, overhearing this, comes to the door as the character.

Hector Heathcote invents things, only to have his neighbor steal his ideas. After a few funny routines, Hector steals the neighbor's idea, causing the neighbor some problems.

Popeye's nephews try to sneak a birthday present for their Uncle Popeye into his house.
