When the circus leaves town, Zygmunt and Marysia unwittingly adopt a camel into their home. The couple quickly forms a close bond with the nameless camel, but as the bond grows stronger, their neighbors slowly begin to ostracize them.

Giordano, an angel assigned to an orphan in Krakow, is two years into the job when his celestial overseers, citing budget cuts, initiate "Phase Two" without telling him. Some changes are good - they send him a nanny, the enterprising Irena; some are bad - his phone number to Heaven no longer works nor do his special powers; and some dismay him - he grows a penis. His closest friend tells him to get a woman, and Irena advises him on hygiene. He visits a therapist, Roma, and falls in love with her. She tells him its transference. Meanwhile, Giordano's celestial friends conspire to rid Roma of her boyfriend, clearing the way for Giordano to be his naive and engaging self.

The story of an Angel named Giordano, who, for his rascally conduct in Heaven (too frequent visits to Purgatory and his fascination with rock-and-roll), is sent to earth to do at least one good deed there every day. Giordano is supposed to land in "Holland", but by mistake he ends up in "Poland" (or more precisely: Krakow). His fresh outlook, sympathy for people and original thinking about the world help him, at the very beginning of his stay on Earth, to save a crumbling marriage.

The mistake is explained, Mr. Samochodzik, Joanna and Piotr gain new friends and thanks to them they meet the Italian film crew making the film in this area. Unfortunately, a real misfortune falls on the filmmakers: the main role star - beautiful Diana - mysteriously disappears. There is a break in shooting. The producer of the film seems distraught, but Mr. Arizona suspects that the actress's disappearance is an advertising gimmick. The friends start investigating on their own.

Westerplatte is a small peninsula at the entry to the Gdańsk Harbour. Before World War II, it functioned as a Polish ammunition depot in the Free City of Danzig. Its crew consisted of one infantry company and a group of civilians, 182 people in total. It was the only Polish guard-post at the mouth of the Vistula River, with as little as five sentries, one field cannon, two anti-armour guns and four mortars.
