A terminally ill mother invites her family to their country house for one final gathering, but tensions quickly boil over between her two daughters.

When four female colleagues receive an email death threat each, they are convinced the sender is a war criminal, whom they have exposed. But what if the threats come from within their own office at the Danish Center for Information on Genocide?

Three generations of a family gather over a weekend. Aged 63, Karen Blixen is at the pinnacle of her fame and next in line to win the Nobel Prize for literature. It has been 17 years since she gave up her famous farm in Africa, only to return to Denmark with her life in ruins. Devastated by syphilis and having lost the love of her life, she has reinvented herself as a literary sensation. One day, she meets a talented 30-year-old poet whom she promises literary stardom if he in return will obey her unconditionally, even at the cost of him losing everything else in his life.

Gerda and Kristoffer are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary in Rome, where Gerda used to study art when she was young. But the trip doesn't go quite as planned, when the couple run into Gerda's charismatic art teacher and former flame, Johannes. Kristoffer ends up on the sideline, while Gerda chases her youth through the streets and alleys of Rome, to confront the ghosts of the past.

A headstrong, unconventional teacher and single mother takes on every kind of authority - as well as her family - in a messy and unfiltered way.
