Five friends from 'Maaskantje' are getting fired because of the economic crisis. They decide that they won't pay for anything anymore.

Aboard the cruise ship 'Rederij de Romantiek', Captain Hartman and his lovely assistant Jitske reign supreme. During the annual family weekend in theme park "De Efteling", eleven-year-old Teun discovers that his recently deceased grandfather left him one last scavenger hunt inside the park.

Teun works at Efteling theme park and is assigned to take care of Jamie, the daughter of park director Indra. When security guard Cor is attacked one night by a ghost with a flaming sword, Teun and Jamie become embroiled in a mystery. Who or what is this ghost, and what is it doing at Efteling?
