Mr. Kremer's life seems narrow and dreary on the outside - he is unemployed and lives in a tiny apartment in the middle of the city. But on the inside, he enters the portal to another world. A journey begins that he is less and less able to separate from the outside world. An inner voice guides him and makes him predict numbers, which often leads to bizarre situations. The atmospheric film allows the viewer to participate in both the protagonist's floating perception and the discovery of his inner dimension.

It's all about the currywurst. For Mathias Wengeler, the racing pigeon loft on the roof of his house is more than just that. His pigeons are his passion. Unfortunately, daughter Dani and wife Rita miss out. There are more and more arguments between her and Mathias, mainly due to the considerable piles of unpaid bills and final reminders. To make matters worse, the children's home where Rita works is to be closed. And what does Mathias do? He buys bags of pigeon food. Rita has had enough. From now on, it's the pigeons or me! But does Mathias really have the heart to part with his pets?

Passionate horse breeder Saskia lives a secluded life at her idyllic stud farm in the Rhineland. One day, however, the well-established everyday life of the shy woman is thrown into disarray: Her childhood friend Andrea dies in an accident and Saskia is asked to take care of her daughter Lucy, at least temporarily, as her godmother. Not an easy task, as the 16-year-old had lived with her mother in London and doesn't know what to do with the monotonous country life.

Just when Lena, a single parent in her thirties, finally decided to move in with her new boyfriend Felix, Lena's mother Elisabeth turns up in surprise. She lodges with her daughter and whirls their lives together. The film tells a story of generational conflicts and love concerns, of the search for security and the normal, wonderful madness, which one calls "family", in a pointed mixture of turbulent love romance and smart mother-daughter duel.
