Blaze Bayley is an English singer lyricist and songwriter. He was the lead singer of Wolfsbane from 1984 to 1994, and again during a more recent reunion. Blaze is best known for being the lead singer of British metal band Iron Maiden from 1994 to 1999. Since 1999, he has embarked on a solo career.

Since splitting with Maiden, Blaze Bayley has released a series of well received solo albums under the Blaze Bayley moniker. With his new DVD, "The Night That Would Not Die," he attempts to prove that he can hold his own with some of the biggest names out there. The concert was filmed in Prateln, Switzerland in December of 2008 and shows Blaze and company performing to a packed venue. The show opens with the title track from his latest album, "The Man Who Would Not Die" and the crowd blatantly loves every second of it.

Di'Anno was expelled from the band after the release of their second album due to drug and alcohol problems. Metal Mind Productions has set an August 28 North American release date (July 30 in Europe) for former IRON MAIDEN/WOLFSBANE singer Blaze Bayley's DVD. Entitled "Alive in Poland" the disc was recorded at the 21st edition of the Metalmania Festival, which took place on March 24 in Katowice, Poland. Blaze Bayley and his band put on a 90-minute show consisting of the best tracks from BLAZE's discography as well as select cuts from IRON MAIDEN ("Man on the Edge", "Futureal").

The first DVD contains a movie shot by director Ronald Matthes during the tour supporting the release of the album Warrior Soul in 2006; it features also a selection of commented songs from the special concert held at Phillips Halle in Düsseldorf, Germany on 13 December 2003, celebrating 20 years of career of the German singer with many guests, and footage of the party after the show.
