The rigid Ildikó is in the thick of menopause while attending an accountancy training at a spa hotel, when a hearing-impaired woman unexpectedly triggers her to rediscover her long-suppressed desire for physical intimacy.

The film takes place in a present-day small Hungarian village in the middle of nowhere. Strangers hardly ever come to this place, everything outside of it seems to be in another world for the inhabitants. But one day everything changes, when a stranger from Budapest enters the pub. He is on his way to a vacation in Portugal and wants to spend some days in this village. He soon starts a love affair with the pub owner's daughter. The ex-policeman of the village doesn't like this at all...

Márta, a 40-year-old neurosurgeon, falls in love. She leaves her shining American career behind and returns to Budapest to start a new life with the man she loves. But she waits for him at the Liberty Bridge in vain – he does not appear at their rendezvous. Márta starts to search for him desperately, but when she finally finds him, the love of her life claims that they have never met before.

Tamás is a talented cartoonist, who, however, does not exhibit, but is forced by the police to work as a phantom painter. His talent solves some crimes. Now he is confronted to sketch a serial rapist.

After the death of his brother, modern-day slave Gábor (50) along with another slave Veronika tries to find his deceased brother’s papers to properly bury him outside the farm. Their captors would want to keep this all quiet and hinder Gábor from doing so.

The ensuing state of affairs turns all of their lives upside down. While Gyula has to continually hide the truth from his racist friends, surprises await him in his private life, and when Cupid's arrow strikes him from the most unexpected direction, he is faced with both comical situations and acute moral dilemmas.
