It tells the story of four Jewish boys during a few summer days at the country club where their parents take them, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, in 1993. Within the club, the four define themselves as outsiders, since they do not participate in the sports activities that are practiced there, and therefore do not fit into the logic that governs the place, being permanently bothered and mocked by the rest of the children of their age.

Raúl learns of the suicide of Marcela, his high school sweetheart. The shock plunges him into the memory of that winter of 1980 in Buenos Aires. The nostalgic memory of their story revives in the present, like a forgotten love wound that never healed.

However, he is forced to abandon the case when the military forces take the power in Buenos Aires. Years later, with democracy finally restored in Argentina, the case will be reopened causing the abolition of military service and the military justice system.

It is the year 1998 in Buenos Aires. Chino just turned 21 years old. He is an introverted young man who lives in a small apartment maintained by his parents. He left his Architecture career a few months ago and since then he has spent his time watching films of any kind in different cinema clubs. He lives with Franco, a young man a few years older than him who works on a supposed science fiction film with which he plans to win a contest. He spends his days filming inside the apartment with his camcorder while acting out scenes from the supposed script in a somewhat ridiculous way.

Mariana and Martin have similar lives: the same loneliness, the same neurosis, even the same apartment, but they can’t meet. Their only link is also what separates them: the sidewall.
