Universal Ike accepts the position of ranch-foreman. Practically the first thing he does is to get in "'Dutch" with the cowboys. To further increase his troubles Mrs. Ike develops a platonic friendship from the ranch owner.

An English nobleman travels West for some deer hunting. The ranch hands make fun of him, but Louise takes a liking to him and decides that she'll help him bag his deer.

This is a better than average Hamilton film thanks to the presence of a bratty kid who makes Lloyd's life miserable. It seems that Lloyd was hired as a combination chauffeur, butler, cook, etc. and isn't particularly adept at any of these tasks. however, to make things worse, there is a bratty kid in the home who does his best to ruin everything.

A newlyweds' honeymoon trip is detoured by a run-in with a troupe of gypsies, who kidnap the bride while the groom must tangle with the gypsy queen and a gorilla before resuming the honeymoon.

A tailor's apprentice burns Count Broko's clothes while ironing them and the tailor fires him. Later, the tailor discovers a note explaining that the count cannot attend a dance party, so he dresses as such to take his place; but the apprentice has also gone to the mansion where the party is celebrated and bumps into the tailor in disguise…

A young married couple appears before a judge to get a divorce. The wife shows the judge some pictures of her husband with his arms around another woman, as "proof" that he was cheating on her. The husband, for his part, claims that he was just innocently helping the woman and that he was being blackmailed by the photographer who took the picture.

Louise's father at last decides she is old enough to marry. So she in turn informs Ike of the fact and bids him come at once before father changes his mind. While Louise is getting her wedding dress ready, Ike purchases himself a dress suit. He steals a horse and buggy and starts for the train. The horse refuses to hurry.

An amiable couple buy a trailer and start out on a camping vacation, only to be joined at the last minute by the wife's family. The husband remains friendly, even though all the work and few of the comforts are left to him. After many comic situations the husband rescues his wife from a western-style attack by a gang of bandits and receives a reward for their capture.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, 'counter jumper' was the term used in both Britain and the U.S.A. to describe the lowest dogsbody clerk in a general store or emporium. Here, Semon is employed in that capacity in an Old West general store that caters for desperate characters. As usual for Semon, most of the gag set-ups are deeply contrived and implausible. We get here not one but two separate sequences in which randomly splattered stains just happen to resemble a human face.

An entomologist and his wife head out into the countryside for his studies and happen upon a group of free-spirited young dancers.
