This story is about the interweaving of times and human destinies. The temporary segment that covers the film is two hundred years: the action has been developing in the present in the present and during the Patriotic War of 1812.

He became a legend in his own lifetime. A Symbolist poet, artist, photographer, art historian, translator, lecturer, and local historian — Maximilian Voloshin, known simply as Max. Everyone loved him, and he loved everyone. He embodied contradictions. He visited the Vatican, the Prado, and the Louvre, witnessed the first car rallies and flying machines, attended Silver Age poetry circles and Montmartre artist gatherings, and took part in literary hoaxes. But no matter where he went, he always returned to Feodosia.

Oleg, a veteran of the German Army, arrives in St. Petersburg at the call of his old comrade-in-arms Vladimir. Instead of the expected well-paid job and decent accommodation, he finds himself in a pine forest, where former army captains and majors live in tanks (their tank column, which the putschists sent to Leningrad, was stopped halfway and forgotten) and earn their living by dressing up as gypsies, while his friend is obsessed with private entrepreneurship. Moreover, both of them fall in love with Olga, a provincial girl who has come to study at a theater school.

Two stoned scoundrels, serving on the parcels of the oligarch. A kind aunt who believes in miracles and love. And her granddaughter — a local singer who was going to marry an American against the will of her father. One day a ram appears in the village with a mysterious inscription on its side and immediately "everything is mixed up in the "Wonderful Valley": fathers and children, love and hate, oligarchs and shepherds, drugs and magic sheep... And the result is ... three whole weddings!»

The film is based on real events and tells about a major accident that occurred during the construction of another Leningrad metro station in the spring of 1974.
