The main character, a forty-year-old doctor, tries to cope with situations that life throws at her as a successful dentist, but a less successful mother, lover, and ex-wife. The heroine's relationship with her daughter, lover, mother, and ex-husband is portrayed very convincingly and without the slightest idealization, reflecting the ambiguity and controversy of the contemporary female condition. Although the author accumulates in his novel and television script almost all the paradoxes of today's self-employed woman in the heroine, nevertheless (or precisely because of this) her story reflects the experience of most contemporary women. Especially those who place high demands on themselves and others, which, however, can rarely be met one hundred percent. And if it turns out that we owe the greatest debt to our own daughter, then it is no surprise that everything starts to change completely...

Father Viktor, highly capable and successful in his profession, and his son Petr, an equally successful and promising student, suddenly find themselves in an unexpected situation – after the death of their wife and mother, these two exemplary models of the perfect man and student must deal with such a mundane matter as taking care of the household. As capable, intelligent, and successful men, they naturally see no problem with this. Their experienced neighbor Lupínek, a distinguished grandfather with four grandchildren to look after, warns them in vain and offers his help. Male vanity and pride are stronger. As a result, they gradually find themselves in a whirlwind of embarrassments, problems, and disasters that gradually erode their self-confidence and destroy their firm belief in their own perfection. Fortunately, Uncle Artur comes to the rescue.

The poet Kamil Bednář has retold one of the most beautiful mythical stories, O Amor and Psyche, in which love plays a major role. His fairy tale about Princess Soul served as a model for a television production directed by S. Simonová.

In that country lived a prince who took a liking to Vápenička and wanted to marry her. However, as is often the case, the king did not approve of the bride. Therefore, he gave the prince the task of guessing the girl's name, otherwise he would not allow the wedding...

In the fairy tale comedy, a strange princess is born. She can be wound up like a mechanical toy. At first glance, this seems like a certain advantage, because if such a child is naughty, the parents simply won't wind them up. But when adolescence arrives and with it first love, it's not so simple. After all, Princess Marenka also had quite a few problems with her "peculiarity".

A fairy tale about three princes, enchanted into dog form... The shepherd Jirka is herding sheep when a mysterious hunter with three dogs named Drž, Dech and Vševím passes by. The hunter treats the dogs badly. And because Jirka has a good heart, he exchanges the dogs for three sheep that belong to the farmer. He says goodbye to his girlfriend Anička and goes into the world, arriving in a sad kingdom. There he meets Bětuška, who takes him to the king, whose three sons and daughter have been lost...

It is 1883 and Josef Hibes, a social democrat, is organising a strike of textile workers. The main demand is a reduction in working hours...

In the 1980s, the building themes were transformed into bipolar moral dilemmas involving overly ambitious individuals who wanted to excel at any cost. The hero is the head of a demolition crew that demolishes large buildings, initially a sympathetic young man who, in the pursuit of career and accolades, begins to transgress the boundaries of what was then called socialist morality and legality. He gradually finds himself at odds with the principles of ordinary but honest people. The narrative's bland, proclamatory film is closely connected to its time of creation, and there are hardly any more timeless insights to be found.

The honest and a bit naive director of a variety agency, Jožin Petránek, sits on the qualification committee that judges entertainers and performers of all kinds. The man firmly rejects any favouritism. But at work and at home, he's in for nothing but trouble. The rejected "artists" protest, and Jožin's wife Anna would like to promote her friend's daughter into show business. His new secretary Zuzana starts to seduce him. Petranek finally succumbs to the French chansonnier Madelaine. But Zuzana calls Mrs. Petrankova and she drives her husband away from the table and the bed. Nineteen-year-old Pavel Kříž spends all his free time in Prague's arcades, bistros and discos with a group of thieves called Roby. Pavel has a high school diploma, but works as a window cleaner, and a large part of his income comes from the scams, scams and thefts of Roby's crew, to whom he supplies guaranteed tips. So he's not too happy when the cleaning manager assigns him a young temp, Jana Hálková. Although the girl makes no secret of her distaste for Pavel's way of life, a fragile emotional bond develops between them. But this cannot last in the environment in which Pavel moves. The young man gets into more and more trouble - part of Roby's party is caught by the police and he cannot find the money to pay back the debt. The situation escalates when a group of thieves kidnap Jana...

A marquee stands on a sprawling Prague housing estate and is home to two young bricklayers, who have all sorts of life experiences waiting for them in the city. A television adaptation of one of the charming fairy tales by poet František Hrubín. Princess Rose falls in love with a peacock so much that her parents fear for her health and chase the bird out of the royal garden. No one suspects that he is an enchanted young man. When he appears to the princess in a dream as the Peacock King and tells her that they can meet if he crosses the sea and endures the mountains, Rose does not hesitate for a moment. Difficult trials await her, but in the end she stands up to them well and becomes the Peacock King's wife.
