It's vacation time, but the Andersen family can't figure out where to go. Reaching agreement is not exactly the easiest for the family. There is a cheeky Frida hiding inside all of us. Hideouts, secrets, kissing techniques, and dreams of becoming heroes by exposing evil bandits. Parents are just a nuisance, and when you finally want to take care of serving the guests, somehow it all goes wrong. It's a shame, because you just wanted to do it so well. Lykke Nielsen translated the best of the best from her books into this film. The children were happy to play along and at one point said that they would like to play in more films. That wasn't to be, but the film remains a sweet and funny everyday story that reflects the children's innermost dreams: to be allowed to be themselves without too much interference from outside. Throughout the film, the children go through a lot before they turn the villains over to the authorities, but that's how a children's film should be.

The Olsen-Gang must carry out an entrusted task for the Prime Minister's Office itself: H.C. Andersen's original quill must be stolen from the Danish Export Museum, supposedly for the Kingdom's safety and good reputation. But Hallandsen has again taken Egon's ass. There is nothing less than the Danish national feeling, Egon's honor and 30 million at stake. But Egon has a plan - he needs a drill, a glass of honey, a bottle of organic prune juice and a good pile of dead rats. Christiansborg is put on the other end, the metro is delayed more than usual and the Queen's guards suddenly dance the cancan.

Based on director Lotte Svendsen's own memories of her childhood on the Baltic island of Bornholm, but though it is set in 1981 the conflicts portrayed do not seem far away. At the start of the film Lars Erik and his wife Sonja are doing well on the Baltic island of Bornholm. Lars Erik is a successful fisherman, Sonja is a traditional housewife, proud of their new house bulging with consumer goods. Their love for each other is the sturdy footing on which their home is founded. Lars Erik employs three men on his trawler, and spends as fast as he earns, so when fishing quotas are cut he faces a crisis. One by one his men leave the boat, but he refuses to give up. Being a fisherman is like being a farmer - you depend on the wealth of mother nature herself. However, mother nature is like romance, highly capricious!
