When fate brings Belfast teacher JJ into the orbit of self-confessed "low life scum" Naoise and Liam Óg, the needle drops on a hip-hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish, they lead a movement to save their mother tongue.

PJ is in a pickle: his parents are missing, he is a spectacular failure at running their bakery called Cup Cake, and he is up to his neck in debt with the local loan sharks. As the case takes one more bizarre turn after another, the duo learn to grudgingly respect each other. As they almost give up hope of catching the criminals, Diana comes up with an ingenious plan which will make the stolen millions worthless.
