The Drews are considering new scripts when they decide to produce Pay-Day, the melodramatic story of the wealthy and sinister Kirke Brentwood and his lower-class wife, Doris Fenton.

Henry and Anne are newlyweds. In a letter to his dear aunt Becky, he complains about Anne not being as gifted to take care of him as the aunt was. So Aunt Becky and Anne decide to teach Henry a lesson.

Henry Murray begins seeing an old flame but tells his wife that he's meeting Mr. Davey, a confirmed woman-hater. He accidentally mixes up notes to his wife and paramour, and his wife begins to suspect another woman.

She wires her uncle, the vice-president of the road, asking that all the employees of the railway be discharged as Cara has been insulted. Reaching their first stopping place, Alcy is informed that no dogs are allowed. Cassandra insists she will keep the dog and they start out for another hotel.

Henry Latimer's wife believes in "Beautiful Thoughts" that transform life. Her friend devises a plan to cure Mrs. Latimer of the fad.

Mr. and Mrs. Pantomus finally get lucky with a good cook, Tillie. When Tillie wants to go to the city, Mr. Pantomus takes her out, but confusion ensues.

By Might of His Right premiered in December 1915. The comedy shows what happens when a boorish houseguest overstays his welcome. Henry’s brother-in-law takes to stealing his chair and cigarettes but the last straw comes when, in a display of boxing prowess, he knocks his host out cold.

Mrs. Drew is so enamored with children that Mr. Drew decides to regress into infantilism so she'll pay more attention to him.

Clara Kimball Young, batting her eyelashes even faster than Bernadette Peters, plays Gwendoline, an innocent(?) heroine who seeks a livelihood in the big city. She's briefly employed in a 'bucket shop' (a crooked brokerage house) and arouses the attention of a moustache-twirling top-hatted villain (played by her real-life husband James Young). After temporarily escaping his clutches, she finds gainful employment in the firm of a dry-goods millionaire (James Lackaye). The millionaire's youthful son Cornelius (played by Sidney Drew, well into middle age) falls in love with her ... but his father disapproves of their marriage, and he cuts off Cornelius with only a shilling (24 cents, it says here in the titles). The villain arrives, murders Gwendoline's employer (just temporarily, mind you) and frames Cornelius for the crime. Will true love triumph?

The domestic misadventures of a middle-class couple, Henry and Polly Hannibal. While on vacation at their country bungalow, the couple's relaxation is interrupted by a telegram calling Henry back to his office to handle an important business contract. Finding that the business requires him to travel West to meet a man in person, Henry writes a letter to his wife explaining that he will be gone for some time.

Mrs. Ryder, desirous of experimenting with chickens, persuades her husband to bring her home a dozen hens. The end of the first day finds her in tears because of the non-appearance of an expected dozen eggs.

Mr. Simpkins gets a raise, but puts some of it away for himself. Overnight, he believes he's accidentally poisoned himself, but does his wife have something to do with it?

A young husband is pleased to discover that his new wife is totally devoted to him. However, things begin to get sticky when he realizes that not only is she devoted to him, but she speaks only in baby talk and won't leave him alone for a second.

When a young husband goes off to a college reunion party, his wife leaves one of her gloves in his coat pocket to remind him to come home early. When he finally does return home--late, as always--he pulls out the glove in front of his wife and, not knowing that it was hers to begin with, starts making up a story about how it got there.

The Craigs and Smiths, next-door neighbors, are the best of friends until Smith builds a chicken house. Their two gardens are connected and their children fraternize as if all belonged to one large family. Sidney Craig manages to set loose Smith's chickens, who get into Craig's garden and work havoc among his pet seedlings.

Sidney Drew hits a long shot, quits his job and goes on a toot. His wife thinks he has drowned. When he runs out of money he returns home to find that her rich uncle has died and left her a fortune and he pretends to have no memory of where he has been.

Mr. and Mrs. Newlywed have an awful "first quarrel" and Mrs. Newlywed refuses to kiss her husband goodbye in the morning. With this in mind, Newlywed consents to accompany his friend George and two stunning girlies on an auto trip. They pass Mrs. Newlywed, who recognizes her husband, and his trip is spoiled, while she goes home in aggrieved surprise. George tells him he must have a double. Accordingly, next day at the office Newlywed talks into his dictaphone and connects it with the telephone, then, leaving instructions with the office boy, calls up his wife and tells her he will be kept late at the office. He and George then go home and his friend introduces

Ira and his son-in-law Harry pretend to enlist in the 13th regiment where they have "drills" every Friday night. When the 13th is called to the front, the two take a fishing trip, only to learn that "their" regiment has been wiped out.

in this domestic drama, Jimmie’s wife Jeanne falls for Proctor Maddox, a socialist and male feminist, and wants a divorce from her husband. To avoid the scandal, Jimmie stages a fake suicide.

After witnessing a minor accident, a wealthy man falls in love with the nurse who treats the injured person. He cooks up a scheme in which he pretends to be sick in order to see her again.

Lillian Travers, a New York heiress, pops down to Florida to surprise her fiancé, Fred Cassadene, the house doctor at a prominent Saint Augustine hotel. The surprise, however, is Lillian's when she finds Fred in a series of compromising situations with a certain wealthy widow staying there. When she can take no more, Lillian discovers a box forgotten at an old curiosity shop in which lies a hundred-year-old secret: a vial of four rare and exotic African seeds that promises to transform whoever swallows one from a woman to a man or vice versa.

A man is hired by a department store just so he can be 'fired' every time there's a customer complaint.

Ferdie's wife is fox-trot crazy, wanting to go dancing all the time. To get out of it, Ferdie fakes an ankle injury. When his wife spies him walking without his crutch, she writes a letter to her stern mother, inviting her to stay with them while Ferdie heals. Rather than face his mother-in-law, Ferdie admits he was faking his injury, and tears up the letter.

A man with a baby gets a scarce seat on the streetcar, leaving Mr. Boobley standing. Boobley gets the bright idea to carry a doll with him to be sure of getting a seat.

Henry, after being neglectful in sending his wife flowers and candy, is aroused to a jealous rage when his wife proceeds to have flowers and candy sent to herself.

A husband scolds his wife for not being able to manage her finances better. Unbeknown to her, he's getting rich from a crooked stock scam he's started, and is making so much money that he brings it home by the basketful. Unbeknown to him, his wife, determined to prove that she's more capable than he thinks she is, takes the money and decides to invest it--in a new stock opportunity she's heard about.

Mrs. John Smithers believes her newlywed husband to be a paragon of virtue. Reality sets in as he spends a night out drinking with friends, and a series of lies ends up as comedic fodder.

Polly persists in putting to Henry the embarrassing question, "Henry, am I really the first woman you ever loved or asked to marry you?" The arrival on the scene of one of the numerous women of Henry's affectionate past causes him to sweat drops of blood until he discovers that the only confidence exchanged with his wife by the mischievous lady is the news that she is engaged to be married.

New parents’ anxiety over their son’s first tooth is worsened by the suggestion that the baby might experience convulsions from teething— in spite of assurance from both the child’s doctor and nurse that all is well.

A young painter becomes the apprentice of an old master who is working on his final great work. Meanwhile, the young painter falls in love with his master’s niece.

Mom and dad proudly exhibit a beautiful child which daddy persists in believing bears an uncanny resemblance to himself.

Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Drew starred in a series of polite situational comedies, first for Vitagraph and then for their own company, releasing through Metro. Mr. Drew -- uncle of John, Lionel and Ethel Barrymore -- died after his son was killed in the first world war and his wife -- who wrote and seems to have directed a sizeable number of their comedies, starred. In this one, Mr. Drew has been fired from his regular job and, money growing short, takes up a position as a professional patient of a dentist, to reassure the other patients in the room. There he meets and falls in love with Mrs. Drew.

A rich Auntie sends an ugly portrait of herself to Mr. and Mrs. Honeypet. They hide it in the attic, thinking she won't visit for a long time, but soon Auntie arrives unannounced.

Mrs. Marsh thinks she knows just how to get money out of her husband every time she wants to buy a new dress, but then he gets stubborn and decides to teach her a lesson.

In spite of all the troubles (and successes) which the "unmarried look" causes Henry, he finally rises to the "very crown" of the hat business.
