Few bands are more closely associated with Montreux than Deep Purple and there was simply no other contender when it came to choosing the act to headline the closing night of the 40th Montreux Festival in 2006. The band duly delivered one of their finest live performances, sprinkling songs from their latest album "Rapture Of The Deep" through a set chock full of their classic tracks. There was even a brand new song "Too Much Fun" written especially for the occasion and, of course, a show-stopping performance of "Smoke On The Water".

Filmed on the closing night of this year's Montreux Festival on July 16, this concert features Deep Purple playing their classic hits with the accompaniment of a full symphony orchestra conducted by Stephen "BK" Bentley-Klein. The orchestral arrangements give an added depth and range to the familiar songs and the band, who are clearly enjoying the experience, deliver one of their finest performances. With a career stretching back into the late sixties and global album sales in excess of 100 million, Deep Purple need no introduction. They continue to record and perform around the world on an ongoing basis and remain of the finest hard rock bands on the planet.

Filmed in the spectacular surroundings of the Arena di Verona, a Roman amphitheatre originally built in 30 AD, this concert from the summer of 2011 sees Deep Purple joined on stage by a full symphony orchestra for performances of all their classic tracks.

Filmed by 12 HD cameras and recorded by a top mobile studio, the show offers one of the most magical performances of the NOW What?! tour. Every member of the band is in fantastic form, the band being strong from a full tour together, and the performance seems to be driving the band through the song like if audience and band were suspended in time.

The concert gave fans a chance to relive Jon Lord's remarkable and extensive musical career, remembering music from Paice, Ashton Lord, Deep Purple, his later classical compositions and everything in between – all in aid for the charity organization The Sunflower Jam. The 83-piece Orion Orchestra performed, conducted by Paul Mann and accompanied by bands and artists such as Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman, Joe Brown, Miller Anderson, Steve Balsamo and many, many more.

The rock legends around Ian Gillan opened the open-air Schlossplatz concerts of this year's Jazzopen 2023 with a bang – powerful guitar riffs alternated with absolute classics like 'Smoke on the Water.' The forefathers of hard rock and its most influential representatives did the honors and showed for over an hour and a half that rock can still inspire today's generation. -The band, led by Ian Gillan, delivered a high-energy show, blending heavy guitar riffs with their iconic classic hits. -The setlist was a mix of classic rock anthems, including "Smoke on the Water," "Highway Star," "Space Truckin'," and "Black Night," alongside other notable tracks like "Perfect Strangers," "Lazy," and "When a Blind Man Cries." - The concert duration was over an hour and a half, reinforcing the bands commitment to there fans. - The concert took place on July 18, 2023, at Schlossplatz, Stuttgart, Germany, as part of their "Unleashed in Europe Tour 2023".

The show is a blast from the first note to the last and grows song after song, supported by the audience impressive presence. During this concert, Deep Purple left their “safe zone”. That is why this concert is the one that represents a feeling of improvisation and electricity similar to the band's classic years - more than many other live releases by the band. The show has been filmed by 9 HD cameras and it is also available in 3D on the Blu-ray version (the first time for Deep Purple)

This performance was recorded on April 28, 1981, for the TV show After Hours at Studio 31 in Rochester, New York. The set included "I Don’t Know", "Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley" and "Suicide Solution", along with an interview with Ozzy Osbourne. This footage is the only known professionally recorded video of Randy Rhoads performing full songs live with Ozzy Osbourne. Additional segments featuring Ozzy or Randy aired on Two on the Town, Entertainment Tonight (early 1982), The Rock Report, and MTV, which awarded Randy Rhoads the Best New Talent Award posthumously in March 1982.

Gary Moore is one of the best rock and blues guitarists ever to come out of Ireland. Following stints in Skid Row, Thin Lizzy and Colosseum II he began a hugely successful solo career in the eighties. Almost 50 years after their founding, Deep Purple released their 20th studio album “Infinite”. Hard rock legends Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey went on tour for the last time. On June 16th they performed at Hellfest, the biggest French metal meeting. Mat Bastard hosted this special, final concert.
