When the Earl of Gurney dies in a cross-dressing accident, his schizophrenic son, Jack, inherits the Gurney estate. Jack is not the average nobleman; he sings and dances across the estate and thinks he is Jesus reincarnated. Believing that Jack is mentally unfit to own the estate, the Gurney family plots to steal Jack's inheritance. As their outrageous schemes fail, the family strives to cure Jack of his bizarre behavior, with disastrous results.

This documentary is about the life and works of the Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, a world-famous organist, a beloved teacher, and a controversial composer who in some ways serves as a biographical puzzle piece linking Wagner and Mahler (among many many others). It contains many musical excerpts (two of them from performances not published in any other form), numerous portrait photographs, drawings, silhouettes, written materials, quotes from Bruckner's and others' diaries and other media.

'I'd stake my reputation on it. These photographs are not faked.' But how could photographs, taken on a simple camera by two Yorkshire village girls, have momentous implications for man's understanding of the world?
