After the wild lifestyle of a famous young German photographer almost gets him killed, he goes to Palermo, Sicily to take a break. Can the beautiful city and a beautiful local woman calm him down?

In "What Remains: Die Toten Hosen – The Last Album", director Eric Friedler exclusively follows the iconic rock band over the course of two years as they create their final studio album. Never before has the band allowed themselves to be observed so intimately in the studio. The film crew also goes behind the scenes of a European tour that the band scheduled in between their studio sessions. The result is a moving tribute to a band that has written German music history and continues to inspire generations to this day.

Young Tina has a big dream, she wants to become a successful pop singer. That's why she tries her luck in the music show 'Formel Eins'. There she meets all kinds of stars like Falco, Meat Loaf, Die Toten Hosen and Pia Zadora and of course the presenter Ingolf Lück. The result is a colorful mix-up and the question arises as to whether Tina can make her dream come true.

Tommie is the absolute loser in his home district of Cologne-Kalk: no money, no apartment of his own, no girlfriend. In the exhaust workshop where he toils, the foreman is constantly angry with him. But Tommie is in a great mood: The video freak dreams enthusiastically through the fantasy world of film art, preferably with the bust sex star Gianna S. in the leading role. Tommie collects exhaust pipes. When he steals a particularly capital specimen from Jupp's swank Mercedes, he gets into real trouble. He has no choice but to return the exhaust to Jupp, but his deadly ultimatum of procuring a case of the rare beer brand "Ramsdorfer Kölsch" by seven o'clock in the evening proves to be insanely difficult. Because at the very same time, "Gianna S." is expected in town...

In his film "Nichts als die Wahrheit - 30 Jahre Die Toten Hosen" ("Nothing but the truth - 30 years Die Toten Hosen"), established documentary filmmaker Eric Friedler succeeds at presenting an interior view of a band that evolved from an enfant terrible to a pop culture icon and whose work mirrors German history. Friedler takes the audience on a two-hour long roller coaster ride about success and failures.

Together with their old friends Gerhard Polt and the Well brothers, Die Toten Hosen went on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in summer 2017. The motto of the concert tour: "In the eye of the eardrum". Back in 2005, we put our guitar amps away for the first time and released “Nur zu Besuch – Unplugged im Wiener Burgtheater,” a recording of an all-acoustic concert. We had an incredible time during those evenings at the Burgtheater—and even during the rehearsals leading up to them—and many fans and friends celebrated these new, fresh takes on familiar classics. So it was only a matter of time before we treated ourselves to that kind of fun again.
