For almost 20 years, the government of President Museveni in Uganda has been battling the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency in northern Uganda. The conflict has been described as one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Having failed to end the conflict militarily, the government of Uganda invited the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the activities of the LRA with the intention to prosecute the rebel leaders. By switching back and forth between Uganda and the Hague this film will tell the story of the miscommunication between two cultures and their different perceptions of ‘justice’.

A documentary that tells one man’s story of building a guerrilla army. Florin Krasniqi, a successful 40-year-old immigrant from Kosovo now living with his family in Brooklyn, helped launch the Kosovo Liberation Army in the late 1990s. He did it by raising some $30 million and buying high-powered sniper rifles – weapons that were and still are legally purchased in the United States. He transported the weapons to Albania, again legally.
