On the eve of revolution, French activist and author Marquis and his talking penis, Colin, await judgment in the Bastille for allegedly plotting against the state. While Marquis dedicates himself to his art and Colin longs for action, the provocative pair unwittingly rouse the interest of competing ideological factions.

Elegant, short film introduces the lonely, contact-craving museum attendant Vera. One cold winter night, after another day of silently watching visitors in the museum, she finds a sleeping drifter in her doorway. She decides to take pity on him. Her coach Patricia embraces her as they both admire the gold medal they have worked so hard for. Martin is a successful man with a well-paid job at a pharmaceutical company. A batch of bottles of gold liqueur (also known as Bruidstranen) containing the original drink mixed with clandestinely distilled, toxic methyl alcohol is put on the market. One bottle is purchased by a couple on their way to a wedding party. During the wedding, the television in the kitchen next to the reception hall is showing images of the port of Antwerp, where three sailors have died after drinking from a bottle of gold liqueur. The police launch a manhunt for the perpetrators and the remains of the batch.
