A father and his two daughters are sailing in a lake when they encounter a pair of shipwrecked men. They say to be looking for someone they lost and ask for help to find him. This begins a tense search in which the father suspects he is held hostage.

Set in the extinct world of artisan mining in North Chile, this neo western centers the struggles and empowerment of a young woman, fighting to keep the family business against patriarchal structures and the law of the jungle.

After 40 years working in the mine at Tierra del Fuego, Toto doesn’t qualify for the social security that would allow him to retire. So his son Jorge attempts to build a gold harvesting machine to bring them a better future.

In the Aysén region dwell a population of 90000 isolated souls sharing the harsh landscapes of an area about the size of England. Here where beauty seems to be on first-name terms with fear and danger,in a place where the immensity of nature can never be dominated, the setting hesitates, along the expanses, between sparkling colours and the black and white of the snow and the water. Hardy makes a living selling knickknacks on Chilean buses. But a government announcement worries him: Chile will soon be a world-class country with a modern and elegant public transportation system, so the bus system will tolerate his job no longer. He gathers two thousand colleagues, and together they struggle to survive modernization.

The documentary portrays the desires and ftures of four young people from the third year of secundary education in Chile. Two of them attend the industrial high school in the San Joaquín commune, where they have already begun their training as a textile technician. They both have dreams, they want to study, work, start a family and improve themselves. On the other hand, at the exclusive Saint George school, two students study in privileged conditions. They want to be professionals and develop through the arts. This is the portrait of two worlds located less than 20 kilometers apart and that can only be together in the audiovisual montage. It is the manifestation of the coincidences and contradictions that exist between the realities and the discourses of four young Chilean students in a fundamental stage for their future.
