Fernando, a journalist, and his friend César join terrorist group MR8 in order to fight Brazilian dictatorial regime during the late sixties. César, however, is wounded and captured during a bank hold up. Fernando then decides to kidnap the American ambassador in Brazil and ask for the release of fifteen political prisoners in exchange for his life.

An ambitious law student who hates music needs to make a perfect plan to get hired at the office she interns at – until she meets a charming singer who shakes her life. While she's living her first love, she needs to face her own past and decide what's more important: do what she loves or learn to love what she does.

Acoustic MTV is the fourth live album and the sixteenth of the career of Brazilian pop double Sandy and Junior. The brothers' last project as a duo was released in 2007, the year in which they announced their separation after 17 years as a musical duo.

Successful at work, Fernanda is an example of women of the third millennium, free to make their choices and independent. Yet in her personal life she finds herself struggling to find a husband. Like other women of her generation, Fernanda put her personal life on hold to devote herself to her career and now suddenly feels her love life situation has become an emergency. Being single at 39 is quite different from being single at 29, after all "the fertile egg has an expiration date"!

There are only a few artists who are able to get away with performing the same songs over and over again. One of the best examples might be The Rolling Stones. Brazil also has a few of those selected musicians. Like Lulu Santos. Not long after his MTV Acústico project, in which he performed his major hits in the suggested acoustic setting, he's back again with another MTV live recorded album. This time with his regular tour band, and again performing some of his most successful songs. A strange phenomenon is that the acoustic hit collection sold 745,000 copies, while in no time this MTV Ao Vivo album already sold the 60,000 copies necessary to receive a gold album. Strange, because the studio album in between, the very good piece of work called Bugalu (2003), did not succeed the 51,000 figure (so far). It seems people can't get enough of listening to the songs they grew up with!
