The film is a comedy. Nowadays, they wouldn't understand the point, but it doesn't matter. The Soviet Union had its own unique identity, no matter where you were. I liked the Ukrainian language the most, especially the songs. I don't speak Ukrainian, but when they sing a song in Ukrainian, everything is immediately clear, it's like honey in the ears. A wonderful film.
