Extraña forma de vida. Retrato literario
This documentary traces the life and career of Catalan writer Enrique Vila-Matas, from his early artistic ambitions, initially focused on cinema, to his determination to become an original and unconventional writer. It explores the books that influenced him and the encounters that shaped his journey. His stay in Paris led to new friendships, including that of painter Miquel Barceló, who invited him to visit his Paris studios and painted his portrait. The film offers a glimpse into the Barcelona-born writer’s unique way of inhabiting the world and the literary work through which he explores the boundaries between fiction and reality. It features contributions from friends, including Miquel Barceló, Ignacio Martínez de Pisón, Cristina Fernández Cubas and Juan Antonio Masoliver Ródenas.
