Werner, Ralle and Tarik are a well-coordinated trio at Berlin's waste disposal service. Werner has been with the company for a long time and is a real leader - someone who says when he doesn't like something. In the third film in the popular series, "The Three from Garbage Disposal" have to embark on an unusual "Mission to the Future". A 16-year-old environmental activist is sentenced to a one-week student internship with "Captain" Werner Träsch.

Werner Träsch moves into an apartment with his great love Gabi Hertz. However, he can hardly help with the furnishing of her apartment because he is campaigning to save his favorite restaurant "Zur Traube".

During their tour, Werner Träsch and his colleagues Ralle Schieber and Tarik Büyüktürk arrive at a housing estate where the businessman Waselitzki draws their attention to graffiti. Garbage manager Rüdiger Dorn wants to move into his parents' house after the death of his mother - but that has to be brought into shape first. It goes without saying that Werner pitches in.

Water pipe burst and bomb alarm - Berlin in a state of emergency: Dorn and Gerald don't know where their heads are. The routes for the garbage collectors have to be reworked due to numerous road closures, chaos rages.

A trained theologian with a truck driver's license joins Werner Träsch's team. Former pastor Matthias is surprisingly good at tackling difficult tasks. But he can't hide the fact that he is in trouble for long: His ex-girlfriend Anna makes it impossible for him to see their five-year-old daughter Lotte, despite having joint custody.

The three garbage collectors accidentally get on the trail of a protection racket in the Neukölln neighborhood: Snack bar owner Mohammed has to fend off an aggressive gang of youths and eventually resorts to drastic measures - but Werner discovers that the situation is not quite as clear-cut as it seems. Meanwhile, Tarik's extreme jealousy puts his relationship with Werner's daughter Annika at risk.
